I spoke with Troy High football coach Jack Burger this evening about senior tailback Jordan Canzeri's planned National Letter of Intent ceremony that was scheduled for 11:45 a.m. at Troy High on Wednesday morning. As of right now, it's still on, but the looming weather forecast that is threatening to cancel school is likely to put a kibosh on that actually happening.

Burger did mention, however, that Canzeri, despite his verbal commitment to Villanova University, was at the final hour reconsidering scholarship offers from the University of Iowa and the University of Connecticut. Fox23 is now reporting, via Twitter, that Canzeri has changed his mind and will now make a commitment, likely to be solidified by his upcoming National Letter of Intent, to the University of Iowa.

This follows a report from Jan. 30 by Scout.com which confirmed that Canzeri recently made a visit to Iowa City, Iowa even after his soft verbal commitment to Villanova.

Burger mentioned during the course of our conversation that quarterback Brian Marsh and wide receiver/defensive back Josh Blaauboer are planning to sign NLI's on Wednesday to solidify commitments to UAlbany.
